Photo Update Volume 2, Number 1, June, 2016

New Aspen Gallery

Come by Andi-Le Aspen Gallery (opened June 16) to see some of my large (40 in) photos and work by three other artists. Shelly Glasser is curating a special exhibit opening July 8th, see the announcement.

New Work on our Websites

I’ve posted 25 new photos to my Recent Work gallery and Joan has 31—she wins this time! We spent a week in New Mexico’s El Malpais lava fields which are buttressed by rocky sandstone ridges, visited El Morro National Monument, an ancient trail stopover point, and spent a bit of time in southern Utah. A visiting photographer prompted trips to Georgia O’Keeffe’s White Place and a day in Tent Rocks, a spectacular narrow canyon near Santa Fe. And we expanded our Santa Fe street scene photography. Did I mention that Joan produced a few more cloud images?!

Thanks!

Thanks also for the many Nepal donations in response to the appeal from my friend and fellow photographer John Vavruska. He returned to help build the schoool which is complete and classes are in session. Only about 5% of the houses are rebuilt, so there is still much work to finish. If you can provide help, make checks payable to “Plenty International”, write on the note line “Relief for Chupar, Nepal” and mail to John Vavruska, 872 Don Cubero Ave., Santa Fe, New Mexico 87505. All donations are tax deductible.

It’s a small world, there are many worthwhile causes which I know you are helping, and we must continue.
